New Energy Completes Commercial-Scale Prototype Able to Generate Electricity from Moving Trucks, Long-Haul Rigs, and Buses
Engineers unveil first-ever, ‘non-mechanical’ MotionPower™-Heavy technology for generating electricity from the motion of heavy vehicles; Company to initiate field tests and optimize technology for commercial client-site requirements.

(OTCBB: NENE), developer of MotionPower™ technologies for generating sustainable electricity from the kinetic energy of moving vehicles and SolarWindow™ technologies capable of generating electricity on see-thru glass windows, today unveiled the first-of-its-kind full-scale MotionPower™-Heavy technology for generating electricity from the motion of heavy commercial vehicles, including trucks, long-haul rigs, and buses.

“The successful completion of our brand new MotionPower™-Heavy system at its full commercial scale is a pivotal accomplishment for New Energy, which now enables us to launch field tests and optimize our technology for eventual commercial installation and deployment,” stated Mr. Meetesh V. The Company has painstakingly completed the technically complex and unpredictable invention, design, proof-of-concept, and prototyping phases of its MotionPower™ development plan, having successfully invented, designed, fabricated, assembled, prototyped, scaled-up, and lab-tested the Company’s newest patent-pending technologies for generating sustainable electricity from the motion of vehicles.
As a result, the Company today announced plans to aggressively advance its novel MotionPower™ systems towards the next phase of product development and commercial deployment, primarily focusing on mechanical and electrical engineering refinements, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
“Our next steps put us on a much-anticipated conventional product development path, often a more predictable engineering course than the early invention process, which in contrast, has required us to solve the many random and unforeseen engineering challenges inherent to creating a brand new invention,” explained Mr. Patel.

Having completed the Company’s early invention research phase, engineers will work towards the selection of product materials and manufacturing systems which can increase durability while reducing production costs, and will further refine specific sub-systems to maximize ‘kinetic’ energy capture from vehicles and boost the electricity generated from the motion of vehicles on our roadways.
More than 250 million vehicles are registered in America, and an estimated 6 billion miles are driven on our nation’s roads every day. As millions of commercial heavy vehicles and cars slow or come to a stop at toll plazas, rest areas, traffic calming areas, drive-thrus, weigh scales, and countless other roadway points, excess ‘kinetic’ energy is produced similar to the kinetic energy present when a bicycle continues to roll even after a cyclist has stopped pedaling.
New Energy’s first-of-their-kind MotionPower™ systems are designed to capture the unused kinetic energy of slowing cars, trucks, and heavy commercial vehicles only at points where vehicles are required to slow down or come to a stop, thus ensuring that moving vehicles are not ‘robbed’ of energy otherwise required to accelerate. Once captured, the Company’s MotionPower™ technologies creatively convert this excess kinetic energy into sustainable electricity.
MotionPower™-Heavy & MotionPower™-Auto: Discreetly Generating Sustainable Electricity
The Company’s MotionPower™-Heavy and MotionPower™-Auto systems are non-disruptive, ‘discreet’ systems which generate sustainable electricity from the motion of large commercial vehicles, and passenger cars and light trucks, respectively.
These systems are fabricated using highly-durable yet deformable roadway surface materials which are embedded into the driving surface, parallel to the direction of moving traffic. As drivers pass over the deformable surface material, their vehicles’ tires depress the surface and any excess kinetic energy of the vehicle is discreetly captured for conversion to electricity by MotionPower™.
Drivers, passengers, and cargo experience smooth slowing of the vehicle and are not jarred, bumped, or otherwise disrupted when driving over MotionPower™-Heavy and MotionPower™-Auto systems.
The Company’s discreet, non-disruptive energy harvesting systems are made possible thru the novel application of ‘peristaltic action’, fluid-driven systems. New Energy’s unique approach capitalizes on the smooth flow of pressurized fluids and avoids the use of moving mechanical parts, which can be financially expensive, prone to mechanical failure, and inefficient as a consequence of mechanical friction.
Both MotionPower™ systems can be easily embedded into roadways. The systems measure only inches in vertical height and may be readily lengthened to suit varying site conditions.
While designed for heavy commercial vehicles and cars and trucks, these systems are designed to allow for pedestrians, cyclists, and other such traffic to pass over the surface area without disruption.
The Company’s patent-pending MotionPower™ systems do not require human-operator control, and in preparation for commercial implementation, have been designed with the self-regulating capability to identify and respond to various vehicle characteristics and behaviors.
Also in preparation for commercial deployment, engineers have developed MotionPower™-Express, capable of generating sustainable electricity from the motion of cars and commercial vehicles moving at higher rates of speed at high-traffic sites such as toll-booth approaches, highway off ramps, and settings where customers prefer a disruptive ‘rumble strip’ or ‘speed bump’ effect.

New Energy’s MotionPower™-Express system makes use of multiple treadles which are depressed and activated as a vehicle passes over them. These treadles can be embedded in roadways in order to mimic the driving sensation of a rumble strip, or may be elevated to replicate a speed bump.
In both cases, the technology affords a practical solution for high-traffic sites such as airport entrance/exit points or airport-based car rental facilities, where installation of a disruptive rumble strip or speed bump may be preferred over discreet energy harvesting systems better suited to drive-thrus, toll-booth points of payment, border crossings, and other lower-speed sites.
The Company’s MotionPower™-Express system has undergone durability field-tests at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC, a prominent Burger King® quick-service franchise during a busy Labor Day long weekend in Hillside, NJ, and a Holiday Inn Express® in Baltimore, MD. These field tests were undertaken following advanced prototyping and in-house testing of the MotionPower™-Express system. Following these important field tests, engineers were able to achieve a 25-fold increase in the system’s capacity to capture energy from moving cars and light trucks.
Similarly, New Energy’s MotionPower™-Heavy and MotionPower™-Auto technologies will undergo field tests at commercial sites where the motion of heavy trucks, long-haul rigs, buses, cars, and light trucks can be used to generate sustainable electricity from harvested energy.
Energy harvesting from cars, trucks, and heavy commercial vehicles is a new technology. Engineers envision that similar mechanical and fluid-driven peristaltic systems could be designed to generate electricity from the motion of foot traffic, cargo trains, passenger railcars, and aircraft.
